Coastal Building Inspections did the inspections on the house I recently sold, I was so impressed with the thoroughness of the report that I got them to do the inspection on the house I purchased.
Scheduling the inspection was a piece of cake, it was done the same day and I had a copy of the report the following day.

Daniel and Michelle from the team at Coastal Building Inspections were flawless in our experience. From the moment I submitted a quote request Michelle was on the phone to me explaining costs and processes. Daniel was flexible and available to perform the inspection exactly when we needed him too and his report was so thorough. Communication was easy from the start. Accepting and paying for the service is also super easy.
Showed up on time and was so thorough. He went on top of the roof, in the roof, under the house, spent a good 90minutes going through the home and was easy to talk to. Im glad we used Coastal Building inspections. I recommend them for sure.

The person that did the inspection was Vincent Proust. The report was very well done in detail, with pictures and divided in sections. That made it easier for me to understand.
After receiving the report, I needed guidance on what was urgent to be done and to understand what actually was wrong. Vincent took a long time to explain to me in easy terms so I could decide if something needed to be repaired, changed or if it was not urgent.

I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with the pest inspection service we received before purchasing our home. We specifically relied on their professional report to ensure there were no major issues—especially termites. Not only did they fail to identify any termite activity, but they also gave us complete peace of mind that the property was in good condition.
Fast forward just 3 months after moving in, we’ve now discovered clear and active termite damage inside the house. This is not something that develops overnight—it’s obvious the issue was already there and should have been detected during the inspection.
Because of their negligence, we are now facing significant repair costs, stress, and safety concerns. This is completely unacceptable for a paid professional service that we trusted during such an important decision.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their lack of thoroughness and accountability has put us in a very difficult situation.
Fast forward just 3 months after moving in, we’ve now discovered clear and active termite damage inside the house. This is not something that develops overnight—it’s obvious the issue was already there and should have been detected during the inspection.
